The Four Types of Patience

There are two broad categories of patience: physical and psychological.

From each of these types, there may also be optional or obligatory types of patience.

The following summarizes the four types of patience:

1- Physical patience required for hard labor (optional)
2- Physical patience required for enduring pain, disease, or in climate weather (obligatory)
3- Psychological patience required for self-control against hurting others or ones’ self or others through taking away one’s rights (optional)
4- Psychological patience required for enduring the trauma of separation from loved one’s, in life or in death (obligatory)
